ABLEGAMES
AbleGames is a social gaming platform service for children and youths with Cerebral Palsy, containing a series of high quality games and support tools. Cerebral palsy affects motor function; it is a neurological disorder caused by damage to the brain before, during or immediately after birth. While there is no cure for cerebral palsy, treatment, appropriate care and surgeries can help to improve quality of life by maximising patients' independence. The EU-funded AbleGames project provides an innovative social-collaboration serious gaming platform service to help people with cerebral palsy improve through enjoyable physical therapy and peer community inclusion.

CLOUDBUTTON
CloudButton will democratize big data by overly simplifying the overall life cycle and programming model thanks to serverless technologies. To demonstrate the impact of the project, we target two settings with large data volumes: bioinformatics (genomics, metabolomics) and geospatial data (LiDAR, satellital).

CONNEKT
CONNEKT (Contexts of Violent Extremism in MENA and Balkan Societies) is a Horizon 2020 EU-funded research project that explores the drivers of radicalisation and violent extremism among young people aged from 12 to 30 in eight countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Egypt, Jordan, Kosovo, Morocco, North Macedonia, and Tunisia. The project will map and establish interrelationships and specific significance of seven potential drivers within three different levels of analysis.

ELEVATE
The ELEVATE consortium wants to empower women to screen for their cervical cancer risk in any setting while guaranteeing rapid and easy-to-understand results. To that end, the project will identify hard-to-reach women and design a screening strategy to access them. This strategy includes the development of a user-friendly, low-cost, portable self-sampling screening tool which will be able to detect 14 high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types and 2 proteomic cervical cancer biomarkers. The simultaneous detection of HPV DNA with the proteomic marker will allow for more accurate detection of HPV infections associated with cervical cancer progression.
INDECIS
Integrated approach for the development across Europe of user oriented climate indicators for GFCS high-priority sectors: agriculture, disaster risk reduction, energy, health, water and tourism.
NANOINFORMATIX
NanoInformaTIX develops a web-based Sustainable Nanoinformatics Framework (SNF) platform for risk management of engineered nanomaterials (ENM) in industrial manufacturing. The tool will be based on the significant amounts of data on physico-chemical and toxicological and ecotoxicological properties of ENM generated over the last decades, as well as new data coming from research. The final aim is to provide efficient user-friendly interfaces to enhance accessibility and usability of the nanoinformatics models to industry, regulators, and civil society, thus supporting sustainable manufacturing of ENM-based products.

POCOSTEO
As a consequence of the ageing of the society, osteoporosis (literally "porous bone") and its complications is becoming more and more prevalent, making the bone disease a health priority in many parts of the world. Currently osteoporosis is commonly known as a "silent killer" disease. Usually osteoporosis manifests itself in a drastic manner, i.e. through fracture of the osteoporotic bone in the affected individual. Until now little or no measures for prevention or early detection of this disease are taken, because no simple, yet sufficiently precise or sensitive tools for early detection of individuals at risk of osteoporosis are available. The overall objective of the PoCOsteo project therefore is the development, clinical validation and preparation for commercialisation of a Point-of-Care tool for bone disease (a.o. osteoporisis) prevention, detection and treatment.
PRIME
PRIME is a European consortium of research institutes, medical centres, companies, and societal stakeholders that is funded through an EU Horizon 2020 grant. From 2020 - 2024, PRIME will aim to unravel the insulin-dependent mechanisms that underly both somatic conditions (i.e. type 2 diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome) and brain disorders (i.e. Alzheimer's disease, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorders). Until now, very little attention has been paid to the role of insulin signaling in brain disorders, and the overlap (or 'multimorbidity') with somatic conditions. Therefore, through PRIME, we aim to develop tools for improved diagnosis, clinical care and prevention of insulin-related lifespan multimorbidity.
SBD4NANO
A major challenge for the global nanotechnology sector is the development of safe and functional engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) and nano-enabled products (NEPs). In order to minimise the risks to human and environmental health during the engineering of NEPs the goal of the Safe-by-Design for Nano (SbD4Nano) project is to create a novel e-infrastructure for the definition, performance testing and implementation of Safe-by-Design (SbD) approaches in the nanotechnology supply chains.

SOBIGDATA++
soBigData++ strives to deliver a distributed, Pan-European, multi-disciplinary research infrastructure for big social data analytics, coupled with the consolidation of a cross-disciplinary European research community, aimed at using social mining and big data to understand the complexity of our contemporary, globally-interconnected society. SoBigData++ is set to advance on such ambitious tasks thanks to SoBigData, the predecessor project that started this construction in 2015. Becoming an advanced community, SoBigData++ will strengthen its tools and services to empower researchers and innovators through a platform for the design and execution of large-scale social mining experiments.
SMARTDEST
SMARTDEST is an EU-funded H2020 research project, bringing together 11 universities and 1 innovation centre from seven European and Mediterranean countries. It aims to develop innovative solutions in the face of the conflicts and externalities that are produced by tourism-related mobilities in cities, by informing the design of alternative policy options for more socially inclusive places in the age of mobilities.

SOCATEL
The SOCATEL project proposes an approach that will cater to the needs of the growing ageing populations in Europe by improving the accessibility, responsiveness, efficiency, transparency and transferability of social and care services. We will develop a useful, transparent and easy-to-use platform following a quadruple-helix (QH) approach, in which service users, care professionals, researchers and innovators will collaborate throughout the process. During the process we will know first-hand the needs of all the people involved and they can choose how to receive or give this services. They will have the control to define the outcome of the platform because they are part of the decision-making process.
